ABOUT
Skye Muthuramalingam is a dedicated filmmaker, photographer, and social activist currently based in New York City. Her main passions include directing, cinematography, and producing. Her current interests include narrative and experimental filmmaking.

Skye has always had a deep connection with storytelling and artmaking. As a child she fell in love with performing in her school musicals, honors choir ensembles, and band concerts. Her storytelling journey continued as she pursued filmmaking in high school – instinctively creating short films related to womanhood, South Asian-American identity, and pressing social issues.

Skye is currently a sophomore at New York University (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts pursuing a BFA degree in Film & Television with a minor in Business, Entertainment, and Technology (BEMT). She is excited to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, where she creates films from a deeply personal and authentic perspective – utilizing art as a natural tool for empathy.
